Default Hello Everbody!

Hey guys (and gals) just popping in to say hello for now while I peruse the site. Little about me: Just bought a used 99-00 CBR600F4 from a friend of mine who just bought a Yamaha R1 (yes I'm jealous). Seeing as I'm just starting and this is my first bike it seemed like a good one to start with and I'd anticipate using it for several years unless I somehow find $10,000 lying around and jump for something more current . I'll be taking my lessons and aquiring my permit/license, etc. by spring time here in New Jersey so I look foward to seeing everyone both at the shows and here on the forum, my first show will be in NY at the Javitz Center on the 16th/17th. Looks like I found the right community to join since I have alot of modifications/projects I want to do on the bike. I'll be posting pics of my new ride soon!

Sup nogov& welcome to the forum ~ you know, when I was shopping formy firstbike, I wanted a nice new one. Had my heart set on an R6. Then common sense took over and I ended up getting an 03 CBR600f4i with 10K miles at a quater of the cost of a new one; haven`t looked back since.Be sure to follow through with the rider course and take it slow. It might be a 10 year old bike but it still has lots of power.

Welcome to the forum! Nice bike, lets see some pictures when you get a chance. Easy way to acquire your license would be looking into the MSF course.

Keep her shiny side up and have fun

Awesome...get to an MSF course as soon as you can to help you with all the basics, and make sure to have some good gear. Welcome, you will find a wealth of knowledge here.

Thanks guys here are some pics: These are the only one's you'll get till I get the bike out of storage once it warms up around here. Maybe I'll take some more next month when I go to start it up.

EDIT: Still trying to figure out how to embed pics, etc. Sry [:@]

EDIT: Figured it out ... kinda.. I'll just leave the links up for you guys.
