Looking good already choppaclark, I had a gold and purple 99 model myself years ago and loved it, got a 954 02 model now and love it 2!

 

Other than some cosmetic stuff, the bike looks soild... Any mechanical problems? Looks like the bike will be tip-top in no time...

Rydnacbr it is mainly cosmetics, mechanics wise the bike was running ruff so ive changed oil and filter, air filter and tuned the carbs. Its running a hell of a lot better now.

Gday choppaclark I only spotted your question on the site 2day, the 954 and 919 are both bloody quick, the 954 feels quicker to 100kph but you'd need a stopwatch to make sure! The noticeable improvements are the 17in front wheel (vfr fronts fit yours) the lack of weight and the fuel injection. Do a Google search on ioffer and see what price they do a new painted fairing kit for you. I got all the bodywork on mine for $340aus, cheaper than a genuine mudguard and the colour matches perfectly!
