Default Hello CBRForum

My name is Justin, and I have already been enjoying some great info from the forum waiting for my membership to become active. I bought my '92 F2 from a kid that had laid the bike down on both sides. What body work was left was being help on with zip ties and electrical tape. It was in very ugly shape. Tires showing belt front and rear. But, life a Honda. Despite being abused bad, she ran strong. So I shelled out a cheap $300 for her. I have removed most of what was left that was ugly to me except for the headlight and gauge cluster that no long match. Those are next. Took it down to the frame, did some cutting and some grinding, and some painting. Not sure where it is going, but I think it looks better than it did by far. No one seems to know what kind of motorcycle it is until I tell them, and it makes it more fun in a way. Going to do my best to search for some of the questions I have. But, if I can't find them I will post some questions of my own.
I have some major mechanical background, and will share what i can that applies. I will say it involves more heavy diesel than it does motorcycles.

Thanks for having this great forum up. I look forward to the knowledge.

Here is the bike I have started calling Mad Max.

Packed and ready to leave town,

I don't usually like street fighters but I think you're off to a great start. Welcome to CBRF!

I'll make a couple of suggestions:
1.Check out ebay for a good looking headlight (something not stock)
2. Come up with some sort of front fender and maybe cut the front down.
This will help keep your ride a little cleaner and also protect your radiator. and IMO tighten up the look of the front end a bit.

Just my $.02

Dude - is that a Matte Black EXO 400 with the gold everclear visor?

I had that exact same helmet.

I do need to, and plan to clean up the front end. I also want a front fender. Slower rides in the rain are no fun with the rooster tail hitting me in the face.
That's my spare helmet. It is a truck bed lined Exo700. My other helmet that I wear daily is my Shoei RF-1100.

I have not decided which headlight will look like it should have always been there. But, when I do I will save up and make it work. So far, I am just having fun getting it down to the bare essentials, but trying to maintain it being an every day driver for me.

I also want to add the chain cover and rear wheel cover so I can take it to the track. At least a chain guard.

I agree that it doesn't look too bad at all. Definitely interesting with the exposed and painted frame/motor.

Welcome to the site, man.

I must say. The RF-1100 is the best ventilated helmet i have owned. Very comfortable. Only drawback is the fact I have to use the fog crack in the cold often. You would think at the price of the shields, they would come with anti-fog.

+1 on that. I guess you have the Chrome Spectra whatever it is they call it as well? I'm surprised they aren't Anti-fog. I think they retail for like $80 a pop too.

Regardless, best helmet I've ever tried.
