Default Hello From Canada

Hey guys and gals! Im new rider from Canada, no we don't have dog sleds here :P im specifically from Toronto, ON one of the Biggest cities in Canada. I told myself that I wanted my Motorcycle license but would not get it unless I had a bike to keep up my skills sooooooo........ I bought a 2011 CBR Honda Now I must admit riding in the BIG city with traffic is intimidating and I havent gotten a whole season in yet so I was told it will get easier as things become more second nature. Ive only been able to ride it twice and then old man winter came so its been in my garage for the past 6 months. I am in the process of getting all my gear ready for the summer just bought a Jacket, I have a shoei helmet, and about to buy some kevlar jeans. Hopefully I'll get more comfortable on my bike this year. Would love to hear any tips from you pros, and veteran riders!

Thanks Guys!

Welcome to the forum...and riding!
The intimidation feelings will go away as you get more seat time. After a while, they will be intimidated by you!

Sweet bike you have. Hopefully the snow melts soon for you.

Your pics aren't showing up. I tried to work with flickr, but the links aren't cooperating. Most of us use photobucket around here. The IMG code works well for this site.

Welcome, love the bike and I love Toronto too. The new cbr's looks sweet, if I could I would have a new 250, 500, 600 and 1000 sitting in my barn but that hasn't happened yet Have fun and take care.

Welcome to the forum. Too bad you're in Toronto, all the good roads are out here!

And you might want to remove the sticker from your visor. Makes it a bit difficult to ride.

Great bike to start on, you will have fun I'm sure.

Welcome to CBRF! Take 'er easy out there and next thing you know - you'll be a pro at it. Reactions will simply be just that - reactions, you won't be nervous, you'll be confident - and you'll REALLY start to have fun.

As others have said, it only comes with seat time, so have fun and don't rush it.

See you on the forum, I hope that weather and the roads clear up really quick for you.

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

As the guys suggest............seat time is the most important ingredient.

And wearing all the safety gear!

Enjoy your riding

Cheers, SB
