hands and wrist hurt?
so for about a week now i have been riding out on the road none stop. after about 15 mins my hands and wrists kill me from leaning on the handle bars i gues. is there a way to stop this? its not bad if i lay down more but i look dumb. i have a 2005 cbr 600 f4i. thanks. and i think its pushing on a nerve in my hand becuase on my left hand the last 2 fingers the tips have been numb all week lol
Slide back on the seat a little bit and press into the tank with your knees. Ride on the ***** of your feet. Use your Knees to hold on and your lower back to hold you up instead of your arms. This will also get tiring after about 15 mins but if you just alternate between the two during your ride you can ride for quite a while. I've gone 160 miles in one trip doing this.
you quickly get use to it, first few days i had the same problem, then i did the slidin back and usin my knees and lower back more, you dont actually use the handle bars to support you, its an odd adjustment i thought but then quickly realized it was much better after i got use to how it felt
When you go down the Freeway do you ever see bikers in the other lane with one hand on the throttle and the other on their thigh. Try that
. It lets you stay more upright and you can hold the throttle pretty good.

Relax your elbows and shoulder so that they are down not out. This might relieve the pressure at your wrist and help roll on and off the throttle. Everytime I get stiffness I find my elbows are out and all my weight it on my wrists. +1 on leaning your body against the tank to distribute the weight evenly.
Use your abs to help keep your torso up.

Neck/nerve pinch. C6-C7. Happens to me. Do you have a little discomfort under your left shoulder blade? Rhomboid/traps? Anyway I have been going through this for 2 months, too. Deep tissue massage helps.

I have that problem frequently...what I've learned is to slide back on the seat a little more and grip the tank with your knees, ***** of your feet on the pegs and support yourself with your back instead of leaning on your arms. This will relieve a lot of the pressure on your hands and wrist. Also, the hand on your thigh giving it a rest for a few minutes does wonders.
Quite honestly the best ride for me is about 110mph down Route 309 knees and elbows tucked, ***** flat on the tank! LOL. But that's just me!
Good Luck!
