Default Greetings from L.A

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum. Reside in San Fernando valley, CA.
I have just picked up my '05 600RR this last monday.
56 miles on the odo ...and I love it!!!!.
I'm pretty much babying her 'till the "break-in" period is through.
The sales person said it was around 600 miles.
or after my first oil change.
What's a good shifting point (RPM) during this break in period ?? (i,e: donot rev passed 5k??, or load fast throttle starts?)
I am also getting grip on my tires, so that is why i'm taking it slow.
I know I have to be patient. Then the fun starts.
Greetings to everyone, and I'm looking for many good topics in this forum.
Mario

I kept my new REPSOL under 6000RPM for the first 500 miles and then did my oil change. Just vary your RPMS for the first 500 miles. Change your oil after the 500 mark and then let er rip. Welcome also

wassup...I have same bike and love it...this site rocks...tons of SoCal guy son this site...not me..solo central Oregon.

hey good news...pg. 216 (Break-in Guidelines): "....during the first 300 miles (500km). During this period, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration."

+1 on the continous long rides at the same speed/rpms

And our bike calls for a 600 mi. oil change/check up
