Default greetings!

hi all, name's Dhani, I'm a newbie from Jakarta, Indonesia. I'm 18 years old, still a grade 12 student, and I currently ride a 2007 red Honda CBR 150R... I wonder if it's OK if I join in this forum? because I see no 150's here, and the smallest displacement here is 600cc... kinda makes me feel I have such a small bike...

here's a pic of my bike:

warm regards,

Welcome to the forum dhani, of course you're more than welcome to join the forum. You don't see many bikes here smaller than the 600 because that's the smallest they sell in the states. We have a lot of members outside the states, but most are in the US.

Great looking bike but I have to admit... I had no clue Honda made the CBR 150R. Wished they had more options for us here. What bikes do you have to choose from/ Starting in 2007, we only have the 600RR and 1000RR for sportbikes.

unfortunately, we all in Indonesia had not much choice either, as the local Honda dealership doesn't sell sportbikes anyway... most people here get sportbikes from private importers/showrooms, one of them is Probike (www.probikemotor.com), which sells many completely built-up bikes, such as the CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, ZX-6R, R6, R1, GSX1000, etc... the small displacement bikes (CBR150, Kawasaki Ninja ZX150, Suzuki Raider 150, Honda Sonic 125, etc) are mostly imported from Thailand, while the bigger ones are usually from Japan...

for Hondas here, we can get the CBR150R, CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, CBR1000RR Repsol, VTR250, Gold Wing, XR200 (trail), and Sonic 125, from one of those importers... some models, such as CBR 150 and Sonic 125, AFAIK, is limited to the Asian market...

and FYI, imported bikes here are so darn expensive... due to overly high taxes.
for example, the CBR1000RR Repsol here sells for Rp290 million (approx. US$32,000), and the CBR600RR is about Rp235 million (approx. US$26,000)...

anyways, this is the CBR 150 (2006 version)

and this is the Sonic 125 Repsol Edition

cheers!

oh, I almost forgot, I'd also like to add my bike's current specs:

*Kawasaki Ninja ZX150 mirrors
*carbon-look triple-clamp protector, gas cap protector, & tank pad
*AutoGauge voltmeter
*4-level adjustable brake & clutch lever
*Daytona throttle grip & throttle cable (gives shorter throttle turn, only 1/4 of the stock throttle grip)
*Blue Thunder ignition coil
*Denso Iridium spark plug
*stock carb with #40 pilot-jet & #125 main-jet
*custom exhaust
*stiffer clutch springs made by Honda Thailand
*Bridgestone Battlax BT45 120/70-17 rear tyre, front remains stock (IRC NR73 80/90-17)
*3cm (approx. 1.18in) lowered front fork

my bike runs on Shell Super Extra fuel, unleaded 95 RON. and lubricated with Castrol Power 1 oil, SAE 15W-40, changed every 1500km (approx. 932 miles)... my average daily speed, from home to school and back home again, is about 80-100km/h (approx. 50-62mph), and top speed is about 160km/h (100mph)... topspeed is limited by the CDI, so I'm looking forward to get a replacement CDI (one without limiter), as many friends of mine had replaced their CDI's and they can go up to 180km/h (110mph)...

cheers!

Hey guy's.....
i'm lius,dhani's best friends....of course i live in indonesia.....
i'm glad to become a part of this forum....

yeahh i've got CBR150R too, just like dhani said.....in Asia market,Sportsbike type (CBR,YZR,GSX,etc) is not too popular than Europe/America market.....
so of course sportsbike in here have a small cc (150cc - 200cc) like Honda CBR150R, Kawasaki Ninja ZZX-150R,and Suzuki FXR150....that all of this bike, product / Imported from Thailand....(Honda South East Asia Corp. )

but anyway.....sportsbike (600-1000cc) in here have a high class.....they look soexclusif in here....because the price so expensive too (US$28,000 - 30,000),but is not a BAD News, in fact, many indonesian can ride it.....and someone have collect until 10 sportsbike, from CBR until Ducati .....hehehe

okay.....just like EPNF4i said...size doesn't matter....
this is my bike.....

and

enjoy guy's.....Thanks

Regards,
yellowbike...
