Talking Greetings

Just found this site, I've had my 01 F4i for 11 years now. It was my first and still is my only bike. I ride as much as I can but these days mostly commuting to work. I've done some off the wall mods such as remote start, a stereo and remote trunk popper. Just saying hi and wanted to introduce myself.

I'll take some better shots later of the equipment. Here's a video of the remote start. Pardon it's blurry I took the video in 2003 before there were affordable hi-def video cameras lol.

welcome eric!
sounds like some nice work you've done to your lady.
Definitely wanna see.

Question.
Does having the remote start mean you gotta keep her parked in neutral??

I'll post some pics in a bit, I've been real busy lately lol. The bike is red/black and looks basically stock, I even have the stock turn signals on and the undertail, mainly to help conceal the amp I mounted under the tail

Anyway I didn't realize my last link didn't work, here is a blurry video to the remote start F4i. Sport Bike Remote Start - YouTube
And yes, to do the remote start it has to be in Neutral. I don't use it if the bike is on an incline where I have to leave it in gear. And yes, the s

So I'm guessing remote start only works with FI...if cold start on a carb bike...need choke.

BTW: nice bike!!'n

I've never tried remote start with a carb. I had to rig the remote start, first to bypass the built in anti-hotwiring scheme, and i had to delay the time the igition fires to the time the starter motor cranks (I used the diesel delay function). The way I have the remote start wired it will not start the bike unless it is in Neutral. If it's in gear it will turn on the ignition and headlight but will not crank.
