A Good Deal?

Just need some opinions if this is a decent deal.
2001 CBR 600 F4i - Silver/Black
1700 Miles with several accessories such as tinted windshield, alarm system, tank cover, chain cover, bike cover, etc.
Supposed to be in mint condition and doesn't appear to have been dropped judging from pictures online.
Listed for $4900

Mitchelldietz 03-19-2009 10:56 PM

is it 1700 or 17,000 miles? seems a little much i think you can get a RR for that much.
F4i should be at most 4000.... thats just from my own shopping around

simpsonn 03-19-2009 11:15 PM

Yeah surprisingly it is 1,700 miles. I think it's listed at that price because of all the accessories and very low mileage...

Mitchelldietz 03-20-2009 12:37 AM

he had it for 8 years and only went 1700..wow.. yeah if thats the case go for it

Incognito 03-20-2009 01:34 AM

I'd say go for it. 1700 miles? The thing's not even broken-in yet :) Try and talk him down a little, but that's a fair price, imho.

Welcome

Firstly ....welcome the the CBRF mate:D

That is bloody unbelievable 1700miles in all those years !!!

Although the miles are low , that is top bucks for one of those model CBR's..
I would be pressing for $500 off that at least , using the year as my argument..?

Good luck in any case :D

BTW : Need any help around here just PM me :-)

Offered him $4,500 cash on the spot and he wouldn't take it. So I guess I'll keep looking....

Yer well maybe it wasn't meant to be then :D
I have seen F4i's even lower than $4000 ...I would not worry about the super low millage on that one mate ...as these CBR engines are bloody strong , even with tens of thousands of miles on them :D

you will find a nice one soon I am sure and hopefully for way less than 4900!! :D

Incognito 03-22-2009 02:24 AM

Give him a week or two, then check back with him to see if he's sold it. If not, ask him if he'll reconsider your offer :D
On Craigslist oftentimes you'll see a seller's listing over a time period progressively go down in asking price when no fish are biting.
