gday all from down under
Gday
Australian 2005 CBR600RR rider here. third bike, havent been on one for 2 years, then jumped onto the CBR. Had her for around 8 weeks now, and improving my riding everyday. Came across this site searching for model specific information, and forum.

nice and clean when I picked her up with hardly a mark, but she has already been backed into, leaving a few small scars. Bloody car drivers! She is running battleaxe 16 rear and 21 front (hard compound on the front seems strange?!?) playing with pressures at the moment. I was advised 32 PSI front and rear- something I am playing with now. Pushed it up to 38PSI rear.
Only mod so far is HID's replacing the original headlights. Now I can actually see where I am going on a dark night- I seriously dont know how they could have been legal before! Previous owner dropped the forls through quite a bit- turns in really nicely, surprisingly not twitchy at speed. Had the suspension set up but it is too soft- apparently need to go for fork springs and emulators.
Not a lot planned for future mods- braided lines, tinted DB screen, air filter, later on play with sprockets.First of all I am working on myself to be a better rider before making her go faster.
One question- is there much gain in debaffling the stock exhaust? And is it hard to do? I seethe rear cap is fixed with 2 allen key screws. Trying to get a bit more noise out of her without going overboard, to make sure the car drivers around me hear me if they dont see me first.
Cheers

Giday to you Brad
and welcome to the CBRF mate..
another Aussie ...that's very good to see ..
We have quite a few Aussies here now ...so you are not alone ..
She looks pretty darn good in the pic mate
About the baffling ....
I think allot of the time , if she is dead stock? reducing back pressure in stock exhausts is not going to make here run as well as with them in ..
but I suppose you can try it .. ??
You might want to post this question in the CBR600RR board though to get some accurate answers more quickly..
take care and if you need any help around here just shoot me a PM mate ..

Welcome to the board! Nice bike ya got there ... did the guard dog come with it [8D] I think you are smart to work on the rider first and then the bike ...
Thanks for that mate, unfortunately she's not much of a guard dog past letting off a bit of noise at night. At least the old ducks next door seem to feel safer with her there....
Mate no good making the bike fast as hell if the rider cant handle it!
Brad

Welcome aboard Brad!
Cool looking RR, I must say I haven't seen an Aussie spec RR before and looks good.[sm=smiley20.gif]
I'm not sure on the de-baffling U want to do to the exhaust, I think youd be better off just installing an aftermarket pipe on there.
