Former MXer, turning knee-dragger
Hello all, first post here. I do not yet have a street bike, so maybe I won't be a 'proper' member of the forum for a little while. Anyway, I'm currently looking for a decent f3/f4/f4i to ride very slowly on the road and slightly less slowly at the track. I would like to get into racing eventually (where I will still, undoubtedly, be unforgivably slow).
A bit about myself, I'm 32, working on a Ph.D in physics. Been riding since I was 3, racing MX since I was 9, made my (long) journey into the pro class, decided the crashes were starting to suck, and decided to be a musician instead. (For anyone considering a career as a musician, keep re-considering until the desire wanes .) I decided to go to law school, found out along the way I liked math quite a bit, and changed course from law to physics. Here I am.
Anyway, I have always found forums to be an indisposable wealth of knowledge and experience, and from what I can see, this one looks to be no different. Thanks for reading,

Thanks guys. Yeah, the f4i would be nice, unfortunately I'm on a student's budget, but hopefully I can find one that will work for me for a year or two.
I had one class with a geology major who always complained about using this equation, because "the earth's density isn't spherically symmetric." Ugh.
Alright, I better go to work now, I'll post up when I find a bike or have a question.

Man, math sucks. I had a really hot ap calculus partner in high school named Julie. Beautiful girl, and obviously intelligent. She had a thing for me, too, but I had a girlfriend at the time.
Then I ran into her again in college. In a weird twist of fate, we had a math class together! She was still hot, still liked me, and wanted to be my "study" partner. Again, I turned her down because I had another girlfriend.
I blame math.
