Greetings. Title pretty much sums it up. This is my 4th street bike, previous bikes were a 72&74 CB450 (stock and cafe racer respectively) and a 73 Kawasaki 2stroke 3cylinder that would scare the pants off me when it ran correctly.
Mid March my fiance split so I did the logical thing and bought a motorcycle. Best decision ever! Picked it up from a friend for a great price. It had 9400 miles on it when I bought it March 24th and coming home from work today, I clicked 11,900. More on the mile accumulation later. Love the bike and can't get enough seat time!
Welcome and love the pic! Nice to see you've got a little riding partner! With what looks like a nice aftermarket seat on it, those miles should add up quickly! 👍
I've had my F4i for just over 3 years, bought it with 8,600 on it, and just clicked over 30,000 the other day.
Welcome to the forum RobE30, the F4i is a fantastic bike.
Your story did make me chuckle, I was saving up to go and see my girlfriend who was living in Germany at the time, dear John letter arrived so like yourself I went out and bought my first bike in 1980 and never been without one since... a Yamaha RD 200 as it happens, not quite as mental as your Kawa, but very scary when you managed to get it up the rev range and hit the power band!

This bike has been better therapy than any therapist!
I guess all the Yamaha RDs enjoy the reputation of being wild horses. I happened to get a taste of the RD 350 in around 2013-14 from a policeman. He had held on to the bike since ´86 when he joined the force. These bikes were the wet dreams of many in India, till the late 90's when the country finally banned the 2 strokes. That thing was mental, even though I had spent considerable time on another, somewhat mellow 2S RX135.
