Default First...of many questions

I got front/rear stands for my f4i, and don't know how to apply the front stand to lift up the front of the bike. I can apply the rear stands easily, but I don't seem to be able to lift the front end up at all, no matter how much force i apply on when I push down on the stand. Is there something I'm missing??? Please help! I don't want my bike to tip over. Thanks!

Hi ehonda. First off you should post pics of the stand in question. After the bike is on the rear stand it should be very easy to lift the front with the right stand. I for one don't want to give you any advice without a clearer image of what you've got or how your doing it. Seriously buddy, until you know exactly what your doing , don't try to lift the bike.

Here are some pics of the stand in question. Any help would be much appreciated. These stands came with the bike when I bought it, and I believe they are Handy Industries stands.

I would suggest throwing those away and getting Pitbull stands.
From the looks of the stands, I would not trust putting my bike up on those.

Just a suggestion.

I'm not familiar with that style of front stand at all. Theone that I use for the front has two rollers on either side that support the fork. One roller supports the bottom of the fork while the other sits slightly higher at the back of the fork. It works very well. I use pretty much the same style rear stand as you just a bit beefier. If your still not sure about the front stand I'm talking about let me know and I'll post a pic for you.

I realize you already have a stand and probably don't want to buy another one. Maybe someone will have some advice regarding the on you have, but I love my stand, works great, but I did drill some new holes in shaft where you can see the pin because I didn't like where the pre-drilled ones were.
