Talking First CBR former- ZRXr

Just purchased a 2004 CBR 600 f4i from someone who should never own motorcycles. His first ride was his last. Reved the engine dumped the clutch and ran it into his friends car. Faring, headlight, and some bent brackets. I'm going to need some risers first to make it comfortable for someone 6'4". I'm sure I will be spending some time on the board.

Welcome to CBRF,

You should be able to find all your answers to any questions you have during the rebuild right here. There is a great F4i section with lots of advise and help. Stop on by there and settle in.

Just looking for something simple in a name. I live in Bend Oregon.... so it just seemed to fit. Today we disassembled and removed all the broken parts. Had to salvage a battery to try to start it. No spark or fuel pump noise. Checked all fuses and connections all seemed good. Done for the day back to the computer to read the boards advise. After reading quite a few posts I believe the problem to be the tip sensor. Especially since I had the faring sitting upside down next to the bike. Tomorrow I will fire it up. Hopefully.

Well progress is in motion. With all the help from the board posts you guys have helped me figure it out. Battery in, faring right side up, press start, and purrs like a kitten. Now I just need headlight farings registration and I'm on the road again.
