F4i VS 600 RR

RE: F4i VS 600 RR..are you serious
F4i has a more comfortable riding position (for me), but the rr looks better, has better brakes, and the undertail looks great. That is why I bought the rr. the faster time article was put out in 2003. This is 2006 and that article has no bearing (unless they are referring to a new article) as the rr weight has went down and the engine is better.

If you can tolerate the RR ergos than that is the bike to have. It is better looking, has underseat exhaust, is somewhat faster, and has newer technology.
For me the RR (rode buddies 2005 1krr a while before buying the F4i) was simply too uncomfortable, my hands went numb in 11 minutes. From what I can gather after a year of F4i ownership is that I have no need or want of any more power, an hour on the bike is easy, and I have no desire to race or do a track day. Don't forget that the F4i was Honda's 600cc racebike for years, and that even though it is somewhat older technology, chances are that very few of us will ever be talented enough to outride the abilities of this bike (the vast majority of you people that think you can are kidding yourselves).
Another plus is that for two up riding the F4i is better than the RR, and lets face it, the best way to take care of the 'banana seat issue' is with a hottie on the back.

Ive only been riding a month and half, my buddy has a 05 RR600, i have a 06 F4i and no problems keeping up with him what so ever on the street. I dont ever go to the track or anything, so the RR may have the edge there, but on the street. . the F4i keeps up with just about anything out there.

I would certainly take someones advice that can't even create a complete sentence and surely go with the rr. Don't get a limp noodle you're not looking to buy some spaghetti.

lol come on man, the difference is there, but the rr's advantage over the f4i are miniscule. it definetely looks a lot faster, but they are pretty similar bikes

RE: F4i VS 600 RR
I believe the ergos is very important, I just don't see how knee's up to your arm pits and riding the tank would be that fun for a longer ride, I think the riding position of the RR is more like a GSXR 750.... correct me if I'm wrong guys. I have the oppertunity to buy a 2004 600 RR for $6900.00 CAND, has a small crack LH fairing ( fell over ???? :[ ) Its tuff to find a good F4i as everyone is ridin them, lots more RR for sale up here. FYI looked also at a 2000 F4 9200km guyy wanted $ 6000 CDN, hard to justify that when an 04 is 500 more. Also what is with people and used bikes, why is almost everyone saying " oh it's got a little scratch , it fell in the garage or it fell at low speed turn." I did all my dropping bikes with dirt bikes and certainlly don't really want a CBR thats dropped. Also if you drop your bike why is it so hard to fix the damage, I'd be embarressed to ride a damaged bike. Just my rant.

RE: F4i VS 600 RR
i'll add this. the 2 longest rides I've had were 300 miles each in one day (back to back weekends). The couch felt great when i got home, but the trips were well worth it. It really wasn't as bad as I thought, but my dad's Harley looked pretty damn comforatble after 200 miles! Just take a break every hour or so and you will be fine.
