Which bike would you guys reccomend for purchase and why? And whats the going price out there for an 04 models of each. I have ridden a CBR F3 and liked the riding position, is the RR really all that? or is the F4i sufficent.

I guess the answer lies within the question..what kinda of riding experience do you have?

And as far as the 600 being enuff..for what..?

125 comes up reak quick on a 600..so...use that in your calculations..

Anyone else...where is the automated resonse button...

It really depends on what you plan on doing with the bike. If you going to just go back and forth to places, more casual riding get the F4i. But if you really enjoy hitting the twisties or the track the RR is the way to go. It won't be as comfortable as the F3 or F4i but the suspension is great for a stock bike.

The F4/F4i are way better day to day bikes... the only time you'll find the 600rr better is for extreme road riding (not a good idea) and racing. For a track day the F4i is more than capable and won't be noticably slower until you become a really good rider.

Save the money, get more comfort... get the F4i. If you want to seriously race/track day then perhaps the 600rr is for you.

I've had both within the past 6 months started with an f4i and now have an rr....both for sale by the way...but i like the RR much better. Just seems like the more aggressive bike i like the way it handles and rides more than the f4i but i think its all personal preference....if its your first bike or your not really big into riding i'd go with the f4i.

You definitely want to sit on both, and see how they feel. I have an F3, and when I was on a friend's 2006 600RR, my knees were higher than my elbows. I know you could move the rearsets down or back, but there's no way my 43-year old, 6-foot tall body would be very happy on a stock RR after a couple hours of riding.

Hey Guys I have been a rider for 27 years, started out riding dirt bikes then progressed to a Suzuki GS550 F .Then I quit riding 10 years ago. Then got the bug this summer and started with a Katana 600 then a 98 Cbr f3 which I really liked. I just wanted to upgrade newer and dont' want to get my *** handed to me by my buddy's bikes : 2003 Yzf r6, 2004 GSXR 750F, 2003 Hyabusa oh yea and one buddy with a Duck 799r. I never plan on going to the track. Just looking for your input. Thanks guys.

on the street the F4i can do everything the RR does and more comfortably. the question you need to ask is what you want in looks really. becasue you'll never max out eithe bikes full potential on the street

first off, i own an 06 600rr, and i have also had many opportunities to ride an f4i.

the f4i is definetely the better street bike, its powerband feels like it starts a tad lower in the rpms.

i think the term better gets thrown around a little too much in the sport bike world. we have all heard oh you should have gotten ____ bike, its faster, or its better at _____ ... but as most people with common sense know, finding differences between any of the 600 super sports is like splitting hairs. same goes for the f4i/rr scenario. as some people have mentioned, some mags have turned times within 1/100th or a lot of times faster than the rr on the f4i. the rr may be considered a "better" track bike, but ill go out on a limb here and bet that if you found a lap time comparo between the 2, that the average difference would be less than 1 second. id say that if you dont mind the banana seat (lol sorry, i had to) the f4i will make you happier on the street, AND will hold its own on the track against any other 600, because regardless of whose bike is "better", bikes dont win races, racers do..
