Not sure, memory fade. I think I high-sided in loose gravel on pavement.

DON'T LAUGH. That'll only hurt, and don't caugh, that'll hurt worse.

Welcome to the site. I had a low speed/low side on my bike a few years ago from some gravel and never saw it coming. Post the story when you get a chance.

I am still not sure what happened. It was not new, but new to Me. It is a 2001 cbr 929. I was in love with it. I put on 60 mi. the first day and wreck it within 100 yds. of the house on the second! The bike LOOKED like new before the accident. It only has 7500 miles. Very low for a 2001. At first glance I wrecked a lot of plastic, the gas tank,a mirror, windshield the mounting bracket of clutch lever, part of the rear seat compartment cover. It is a bit depressing to look at, I feel like an idiot! I appreciate The support You Guys put up right away!

Damn man! Sorry to hear that. Dont worry, it can have nothing to do with your ability as a rider. I have seen excellent riders meet the tar due to crap on the road (gravel, oil, diesel), even a little difference in tar (repairing done to road), you might see little patches on the road after repairs havebeen done to the road, that can have a serious impact on traction differences and it can catch out even the best of us.

Hope you get well soon dude

Went to doc for follow up today, I actually have 6 broken ribs, have developed pneumonia, and will have surgery to repair clavicle tomorrow. If any of You have faith in God prayers are appreciated! Sincerely, Your Brother on two wheels, (at times!) Tim W.
