Yeah, listen to Classic. When I first got the bug, I had my heart set on a brand new Yamaha R6. After a couple of months of shopping, deliberating, and some disappointments, I ended up with a beautiful 2003 F4i with 11K miles, and I couldn't be happier. You'd be hard pressed to tell my bike's got 16K miles on her now, and it runs like a champ. Like mentioned before, you can pick up a barely used bike for just about 1/2 the original retail price. It'll also be cheaper insurance-wise, which depending on your age, can be murder on your wallet.
