Default Cbr f4 carbs

Hi all.
im new to this so bear with me😂
I’ve recently bought a cbr6 f4 and found it has a fuel leak on one of the carbs. A little tee piece between 3 and 4. Got the carbs off and waiting for new seal kit to arrive. Can anyone tell me if it is worth changing the jets, needle valve etc aswell as the seals. Will this mean I have to get the carbs balanced again? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks folks.

No need to change jets, they don't wear out. Just clean them in ultrasonic soaker with all other carb parts when disassembled.

Definitely replace all rubbers: float valves, float bowl seals, fuel-rail O-rings, pilot-screw O-rings.

Set float-heights with final external wet-test with hoses to confirm

Yeah, need to sync them when finally installed on bike.

This is lots of work and if you don't have decades of experience on hundreds of carbs, chances are you'll be pulling them 4-5x to get it right.

I recommend sending to pros for restoration. Expert workmanship, reasonable fees, quick turnaround. Bike will run like brand-new off showroom floor!

Thanks mate. Can you tell me how I would perform a wet test to set the float heights?

Attach hoses to carb-bowl drains. Elevate and hold in place. Undo drain-screws for each carb-bowl. Determine how even float-levels are between carbs.

Similar thing with synching carbs. Attach manometers to each carb's vacuum-port and adjust so they're all even.

Default Wet test

Thanks mate really helpful. 👍 just waiting on the new seals etc and then all systems go! I’ll probably keep you posted on results. Thanks again.
