Default Cbr 600 f4 fan replacement

Hi all I have a 99 fy model and my fan and radiator are pretty messed up so took the plunge and bought a new aftermarket radiator I noticed my fan was pretty messed up and was making a rather than loud noise so I was looking to change it with a f4i fan is this possible and if so what’s needed to make it work correctly.
thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum. Both the F4 and F4i fans work exactly the same. The thermal switch that is mounted to the radiator will turn on the fan. As long as you can get the fan mounted securely and plugged in the same way, it will work as designed. Go for it.

I had seen this on another post in this forum so was unsure if the connectors from the f4 need to be swapped with the f4i

Certainly you may have to modify the wiring or connectors, but they function the same. I'm not saying they are plug and play compatible.

once it comes I’ll change them to the f4 connectors I guess it’s just the main one that plugs into the wiring or would it also include the temp sensor ?
thank you for the info though really appreciate it

The temp sensor is on the motorcycle side of the fan connector right? Fan only has the 2 wires going to the connector so that is the only thing that needs to be changed.
