Ok.....hi to who ever may read this. I am new here and to riding all together. And figured the best place to get advice suggestions and type of input, would be from other cbr owners.
I am humble I am not a pro...I know that this is a dangerous bike to learn on...but I respect its power and have decided that I am going to avoid pushing it...maybe next year. Till then I am reaching out for any advice that can be given... I feel pretty comfortable on the bike balance and braking....just need to keep my adrenaline under control....requires alot more
Concentration than I expected...
I know many people here may push the limits and that is not me... I don't want to be one of those riders that thinks they can do more than what they are capable.
Its a amazing feeling and I hope to learn allot from you guys...

BTW, the '02 is an F4i not F4. The F4 was 1999-2000.

Welcome to the forum and riding!
Take your time, ride at your own pace, and watch out for cars. You need to anticipate there every move. Motorcycling requires concentration, but try not to get tunnel vision or target fixation. Relax a little and look around a bit. You will become more aware of your surroundings and what dangers lurk out there. Good luck and ride safe...

 

thank you for the welcome.... i literally just took the bike out for the second time ...
spent the week hanging out with my son changed the oil, cooling flush , brake fill/check,
was just checking everything out. really have yet to get comfortable enough to actually rip into the throttle..... i have alot of practice ahead of me... concidering this is the second time i have ever rode on a bike .. i am making good progress and by far very satisfied with this bike..... has me dreaming of the new CBR but that is getting ahead of myself....

by the way i am a 31yr male my son will be 2 later this month ..... he loves it father son bonding i guess you would say ....

im in the same boat! picked up my 2000 f4 today and just waiting to learn more about it, doing research and being careful. ordered safety equipment today and will be taking the safety course.
