Unhappy Cbr 1000F

Hi guys
new here never done forums before, picked up a cbr thou from a friend who's going to live in china for 2 years its my 3rd Honda of 7 bikes
....would really love a black bird ...so I painted this bike pearl white /red two years ago as it went down the road, now I am to be using it for a while an you guessed it ,it won't start so the symptoms are full bright head lights turn key with stand up clutch in kill switch on an there is a distinct klick klick as in a dead batterie but as stated I have full lights that don't dim but starer won't engage answers on a post card please cheers woody (its the jelly mould mk1 d registration)

Did you check the leads to the starter motor? When did your friend last use the bike and were there any problems he reported?

Cheers, SB

You might get more model specific answers if you post here :- CBR 1000F "Hurricane" - CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners

As for your problem, have you tried jump starting it with another battery/vehicle?

Also where do you live, there may be a member that can help just around the corner. If you have time fill in your details

Welcome man , also when jumping from another vehicle - make sure that other
vehicle is not running - but me I'm thinking bad ground, starter relay or dead cell
in battery also maybe kickstand switch.
