Default Brand new (to me) '04 F4i

Hey all…count me in as a newbie. I have been riding cruisers since ’02 and finally decided to upgrade. I had a Kawasaki Vulcan which was a perfect first bike, but all my friends have sport bikes and they say nothing but good things about them so I knew what I had to do. I sold the cruiser last fall and since then I have been shopping around for my next bike. I have had lots of time to shop around, and I just got my new bike this weekend. It’s a 2004 CBR600F4i (Yellow/Black). It’s the first time I bought a used vehicle and the hardest part has been looking at it in the garage and not being able to ride it. It has a lien on the title and he has to send away for the lien to be released.

Anyone have any idea how long AHFC (Honda Financial) takes to return the title or send the lien release paperwork? I can only assume I will be waiting around for next two to three weeks. Oh well, it looks like its going to rain for the next week or so which makes me feel better. Gives me some time to polish it up and install some sliders, a new shield and a tank pad.

Is your wheel stripe tape reflective? Where did you get it?

You're gonna love that bike! I have an '05. Only difference is the paint. Mine is a rather subdued silver and gray color scheme BUT aint nuthin subdued about the **** that happens when you twist the right hand grip real hard!! 0-100 mph takes about :-: that long! 125 mph is like you're locked on a rail!! And twisties are a favorite past time on any F4i

Boo

congrats on the bike. my only recc is take the time to learn the response diff from a vulcan to an F4. Both are excellent bikes but personally ill take the shot glass of adrenaline over a cruiser any day.
