Default A big fat hello from Holland!

Hi guys (and galls, I hope LOL) !!1!exclamationpoint!
I'm Stefan, 27 y.o., cabbie, and live in that huge flat boring piece of reclaimed land (from the sea) called Holland... city of Groningen to be more specific.
And for those wondering; no, I don't smoke/like pot (or Amsterdam for that matter LOL), and the nearest red light district is just 15 miles away.

I just bought my 'first' own bike last tuesday, it's a 1987 CBR1000F wich was converted to a streetfighter, with a '95 motor, a Ducati 916 rear, mesh 'air filters' and a really loud (and ugly) exhaust.
It was cheap, it looks that way too, and I'll be driving it around for the spring/summer/early fall, then I'll pull it apart to make it look not-cheap, as they'd call it in the UK; the bees' bullocks.
The frame and wheels are bright yellow, the plastics are 'gloss' black with yellow checkers.
At the moment I'm thinking of matte white plastic and wheels with some matte blue details, a polished or chromed frame and swing arm, two mufflers under the seat and some more stuff I come up with.

Unfortunately, I do not have pictures as of yet; I dropped it off at a friends house as I'm currently refurbishing a new house (so I'm short on time, and have both sheds/garages full of stuff); I owe you those.
In the past I used to do a bit of motor cross racing with a souped up '89 Ya-mama YZ250, drove around on my old mans' Moto Guzzi, and later his BMW cruiser.
But that was a few years ago, only owned fast cars since; so I'm all new to driving a bike again for the near future.
Cars included several Civics and a CRX, fast cars were a turbo Civic, a Nissan Skyline GTS25T, and an Audi S4 V6 biturbo... at heart, I've always liked a Honda.

I hope to at least learn a thing or two about the bike on the forum

LOL, first thing American tourists ask me is 'do you smoke pot?'... second thing is usually 'are you from stateside?'

Welcome to the site, bud.

When I think of holland, I think of dykes.
Or is it dikes?

That paint job is indeed crazy looking. That's a cool looking bike, tho. The tail is neat.
