around 3,000
I have been a harley rider for years, while on vacation i rented a gsxr, i was hooked on having a sport bike. I like the feel and reputation of honda. I have started doing research on cbr looking to purchase a bike in the near future. I need some input into what I can get for around 3,000, give or take a couple hundered. What are some of the signs a bike has been raced of used for stunts. I plan on just riding through the smokey mountains and blueridge mountains. I not looking for a brand new bike, just one in good shape that has been properly maintained.Was there a year of production that prevails over other years, really just looking for some good input from veteran owners. Thank you for the input.

for about 3000, you can get yourself an F4i...a well rounded bike that's very confidence inspiring.
best sign of raced/stunted/abused bike is new or custom paint job and aftermarket parts. look for scratches on the mirrors, bar ends, shift levers, swing arm, stator cover and all pegs. from my experience with honda, all years are pretty good. only issue is with the noisy cctl...
do a search on that and it'll tell you too much.
