Am I to tall for a 1993 honda cbr 600f2
I am 29 years old and decided to get bike.......(Since my dream of playing Prof. B-ball is offically dead), But the problem I am having is I am 6'3" tall, is the bike going to be to small for me (1993 honda cbr600f2) I have sat on it and everthing it seemed five, but I am new to this, so Ihave no idea of how I am supposed to fit on a bike. Every body telling me because of how tall I am I should get a 1000cc bike.....but I am not trying to kill my self........Greg

Hello and welcome to the forum gadams2. Ignore your friends... if you're not ready/wanting a liter bike, stay the hell away from it. The liter bikes are usually the same size frame as the 600s. They may be a little wider with plastic and all, but it you don't fit on a 600... odds are you're not going to fit the liter bikes either. But I don't think you'll have that problem. I'm 6' 22o lbs and my 600 fits me well. Can you sit on one and tuck in like you're riding it... does you head stick out past the wind screen? Didn't think so... The smaller guys complain about not being able to touch the ground on both sides... lucky bastards. They have an advantage and don't know it. They are smaller and lighter so they can move around on the bike faster and easier than the 6' + rest of us.
But seeing how you're 6'3".... go to a dealer and test sit. See which bike fits you best. Don't listen to Honda's best.... Gixxers rule and so on. If you're not comfortable riding the bike anything will be faster and better than a bike sitting in front of your house.

I to have a 93 f-2 and like "Don" I to am 6' 220lbs, it gets me around just fine and its my starter "Sport Bike" ive hade it 8 months , I plan on graduating to a litre bike 1 of these days when I can affored a new bike, so from personal experiance I would say stick with the smaller bike until youve gained enough riding skills. again welcome!!

welcome. that is a great bike bud. there is no right or wrong but if your not comfortable starting with a 1000 hop on that six. sit on it rock it back and forth. i usually put the kickstand down and lay on it. find your comfort and if your looking for advice this is the place to ask.

Hello & Welcome!! It's best to start small and move up. In your case your doing the right thing by choosing a 6 over a 1K. You shouldn't be asking if the bike will be too small if it's what you feel comfortable on....so the question is?????? Do you feel most comfortable on that bike? Well do you, punk...do you?
