Aftermarket rev counter on cbr600f3, help needed with ignition induction wire

Default Aftermarket rev counter on cbr600f3, help needed with ignition induction wire
I've bought an aftermarket rev counter for my 98 cbr600f3 it has an ignition induction wire, does this connect directly to the icm, or is it one that can be wrapped around the ignition coil to get a feed
