I have a 95 1000 hurricane and it won't turn over it's been sitting for a long time and the battery is charged and it just won't turn over I get nothing the instrument lights come on and all that but when I push the button for the starter it just doesn't work any ideas?
Could it be the hydraulic clutch not engaging. It has been sitting in my driveway for at least a year covered.

 

If you're using the original battery then I would suspect that, whilst it's showing 12 volts and can power the panel lights, it no longer has the capacity to turn the starter.

Try jumping from a car battery (without the car engine running).
