I'm stuck at the same point man(except I've been riding a Buell Lightning 1200cc), Idk what to get, probably will go the 600rr but it all depends. Goodluck with whatever you decide on though, but I'd suggest the 600 because you were on a 250, and that still is a big jump

Thanks for everyone's advice! The 600RR does feel like the best choice for me. I'll let everyone know what I decide, with pics!

I went from an EX-500 to a 92CBR600f2 and that has me grinning ear to ear. Going from a 250 to a spanking new CBR600RR is going to be a significant jump for you bud. Getting on the 1000 I can only envision as a bad given the monumental difference between the two bikes.

For me, I found getting on the CBR600 a breeze, espescially given that it has so much more low end get up and go. If the 250R is even remotely alike the 500R (EX, whatever) then you'll notice you find yoruself hanging out at low RPMS on the CBR and not even realizing it because in comparison there is plenty of get up and go in that range.

This worked great for me as I never accidentally tap into power I didn't know I had and am unacustomed to, and even better yet when I do want to some get up and go, two shifts down is a whole **** ton of get up and peace the f-ck out!

Let me just say this ... I went from a 600 to a 600!!

To be precise a 1998 600F3 to a 2008 600RR, it was like I went out and bought a 1000cc bike in comparison, it is not just the extra
power but the telepathic like handling that allows me go round bends indecently quick and with a svelte ease it almost defies the laws
of nature ...

I Love my 600RR, it plugs staight into my cerebral cortex :-)

rock that effin 1k son. Youd have the pinnacle of RAW, BRUTE, Japanese engineering, at its finest. EVER.

I have a 1kRR (08) and a 03 RC51 VTR1000r.. let me irrirate that old rc51 is one of the BEST vtwin bikes, PERIOD.

Id rate that cbr like this.

CBR1000RR = MURDER ON DEATH ROW. This thing will rip off your shoulders, punch you in the chest, then kick you in the head. AND YOU NEED IT. Oh, did I say it was fast?

On to the stats, I think the 1k weights 10lbs MORE. Oh, and the 600 has like 40sumthing less HP.
my toys, both 1k's. Rollin nutthing slower than a top tier echelon status ONE THOUSANDS!

or, you could get the cbr600 , just to be fair, I listed a picture of it as well. (please, dont compare this bike, to the 1KRR or RVT1KR. as thats not fair).
