Default 1st bike

Hi guys I'm looking go buy my first bike having just got my ls. I am pretty keen on a cbr 250rr. It's just compared to a ninja it's dear. I c an buy a 92 cbr for say 4000. I can also buy a 2010 ninja for nearly the same. Is the cbr that much better a bike? Seeing it is my first bike I
And it is a 250 I'll prob sell it in 12 months anyways once I get used to road riding. Any help would be great.

Welcome to the forum and riding.
Good times are in store for you! The world looks better through a visor.

The 250 route is a great plan, and smart. Whichever you get, you will enjoy it and learn a lot.

I'm thinking that the "92" was a typo... supposed to be "12" maybe? A slightly used 2012 250 would go for around $4k...

Of course we recommend the CBR! There's a reason that Honda's have the reputation of durability that they do.

Agreed that starting on the 250 machine to learn to ride & hone your skills is a good idea b/f getting a larger cc machine. You can always move up. Are you planning on taking a safety course such as the MSF Motorcycle Safety Foundation

Welcome to the forum.

No typo 1992 Honda cbr250rr about 3500 to 4000. Whats this f1 stuff. I don't think we call the bike models the same thing over here.

$4000 is too much for a bike from 1992, especially a 250. You can get new for not much more than that.

Where are you located, Drew?
