Default 1998 CBR 900rr

Looking to buy a 1998 tiger . Dealership wants 3900+tag/title. I think that is high and in fact NADA says 2700 is the normal retail. Bikes looks super super clean. I was a gsxr guy (hence the name) forever but always wanted this bike. I dont ride near as much as I did at onetime but have the itch again and do not want a 600. Please give me some of your opinions

hey garry, welcome to the forum. 4 grand sounds awful steep, but that's a dealership for you. they gotta turn a profit.

welcome to CBRF
i think if the dealer would go down on the price about $500, it would be a nice find.
dont forget that the dealer always knows what to look for the bike that has been laied down, and they dont take those for trades. most likely this bike is a reflection of perfect. you also have to look at the mileage. if its low, the bike will be worth more.

i have bought mine f3600SJR for $3200 (7800miles), but the guy was asking $3800. and looking at the dealer prices of the SJR ($4500-$5000 thats what they told me they can get me one for) and looking on line now, people want close to $4000 for once with 30k miles on them. some of them them look like they might be ebay rip offs.
it is spring time now and the bikes went up in price since couple months ago any ways, at least here where i live.

i would try to knock em down to 3200, because thats really steep esp for a 98. i just saw an 05 636 at the dealership around here for 4500. i would not run the chance on that unless u can knock down the price tag a little
