Hi @sparky46 and welcome to the forum. Post up a picture since she sounds great. There are lots of opinions on tires. The F3 is a great handling bike, just read the magazine articles of the time. How well they handle as a lot to do with tire profile. That bike was designed with those wheels and tires in mind. Its not like going for different tires on a car. If it were me, and I happen to have 2 of those models, a 98 and a 97, I'd stick with the recommended sizes. But that's my opinion.

Bike looks great, love the paint job.
Is it just me or does the fairing look like it is non-standard?
The induction vents are to the side and not underneath the headlight, also the indicators are integrated whereas the F3's were bolt on ones.

@Sparky46 I think you might want to take a look at the VIN plate for the year of that bike. I'm pretty sure that's a 1991-1994 model. Even more impressive for the added years. This picture is for a 1992. For me the turn signals and side scoop on the upper cowl are the giveaway.
