Welcome to CBRF!

Introduce yourself and stay a while. Its a great site with great members. Members who interact get a lot further than one-stop members with parts and info they need.

Owning a Hurricane is like the best love affair a bloke could have.

Anybody can walk into a bike shop and buy one of the new bikes but Hurricanes are starting to dei dale in numbers as are their riders so as numbers decrease, the nostalgia of these increase.

I wouldn't part with my cbr1000ft fir anything or any amount of money. Simply not for sale now nor will she be in the future.

We have to keep these alive.

A guy asked me today would I swap mine for his blackbird and I said no. He was quite taken back by my refusal to swap but as I said mine represents much more than just a bike.

I've been trying to get a local cbr1000f group going without any success but I will keep trying and hopefully there will be others out there that treasure their hurricane as I do.
Mine was new the same month my eldest buy was born.

I've never really worried about joining forums up,to now but as I am now retired I find it would be quite nice to find a few lovers or admirers of these beautiful bikes to have the odd bbq with or even a rally of some sorts.

So if anybody is out there that is keen to try and build or resurrect a gathering of like minded people then let me know, drop me a line and let's see what we can achieve.

I see all of these international members and multiple rides throughout the year, let's show them the Aussies can do it as well!

A warm hello to all

Well there's a few of us here in Australia Gazz, but membership is across most of the states. I've caught up with members in Victoria and Wanaka in NZ.

Keep trying, maybe we'll get enough to have a National meet somewhere.

Cheers, SB

That would be certainly enjoyable.

Just west of us in October is a camp oven festival, maybe we need to get a cbr1000f touring festival going one long weekend every year

I actually just bought another cbr1000f today. A 1995 model with full monokey panniers.

I said to my eldest boy after our 6 hour ride today and a few complaints about his cbr1000rr on some rough western roads that he might have to use of of my f's. He's very much loyal to his rr but I reckon after a few long rides he will feel the comfort
