18 years old and finally have cbr 600
about a year ago, I was working my butt off in a small storage unit no bigger than a bathroom. in there, I held a 1988 510cc Husqvarna dirtbike. I used to work on outboards but somehow I managed to get this bike for 185$.
months passed as I did nothing with it until finally I cleaned out the engine and tried to start it. it fired up and I got to working on it right away. I made it look brand new after 3 months of work and at the same time bought a ninja 500r. I fell in love with bikes at that time. I learned on the husky 510. the ninja I bought for 600 (needed a new crankshaft and bearings). I took it to school every day for a month until I got sick of it, while it was a nice long distance bike to ride and a nice quality design, I couldn't help but feel that I was driving something less than my husky. I had sold it do to financial reasons (I'm still in hs with parents.. but I gotta pay for my own stuff lol). I traded the ninja to get a 2003 cbr f4i. Its miles are unknown but starts up instantly and runs excellent. its in rough condition but with the right steps and help I can make it look brand new. it was used for stunting and has a clear FL title. I have lights functioning as well
Odometer reads 60k miles (WOW) but I doubt that's whats on it unless it was rebuilt at some point.
I hope to be able to get to know the community and be able to enjoy this awesome bike. I use it as a daily rider to work. No problems and I love the computer it has.
tl;dr
I got a badass cbr 600 f4i and I'm fixing it up.
