Default Riding pregnant?

How long did you knowingly ride when pregnant? or packed the bike in your garage the minute you found out? As long as the tummy fits between you and the tank? And why?

Just planning but would be sad if I missed out on this season *sniff*

Riding won't hurt baby unless you crash ... so it's down to your choice as to whether you do or not, when I found I was pregnant I still rode for a couple of months but got more and more cautious until I didn't want to chance it any further so stopped by about 3 months .. I just think now is it worth a miscarriage if you come off??

extra padding in case of a fall!!...

im sorry that was not funny at all. I think that as soon as you find out your preg you should stay off the bike.

Oh sure, I know it's not dangerous, unless you fall...but that's pretty much the case anyway

I was just curious about when and if the danger perception changes for different people.

I've also skydived and, in that circle, heard about a woman bragging that her babe has already done 20 or so jumps (then a few months old). Another friend of mine happily went monutain skiing saying "well I've never fell (more than plopping down on my ****) before so I'm fine!".

I guess I'll never know before it's time.

Although, as I said, I did ride for a couple of months ... I was 24 and thought I was pretty invincible, as you do ... I would never do it now, not in a million years ... stop riding and any sport where you might fall or be hurt ... it's too easy to miscarry and, well ..life is precious ..it just is!!

You are not only responsible for yourself, but your unborn. You can't control others on the road and I wouldn't suggest riding prego - just too much risk.

No to riding prego!

I rode through my first trimester but this was twenty years when people were not as distracted as they are now when they drive. Now a days. I don't think it is worth the risk.

I stopped because I had morning sickness the whole nine months. It is not pretty, when you need to throw-up and you have a full-faced helmet on. The OB and the now ex started insisting, also.

I don't think it's worth the risk. You can be the worlds best rider but there are so many bad drivers out there, it's not worth it!
