You can't go home again.
Wasn't that Norman Mailer? Anyway...
Have you ever noticed that most of the things in your life that you lusted after for yeas and were just dying to buy, but had to forego, seem to let you down when you go back much later and consider getting one?
I have done that with bikes and cars a lot. Regardless of how cool I thought they were, and how bad I thought I had to have it, 10 or 20 years later, even if it is a "classic" I look it over in real life from my new perspective and think "wow that looks small, or cheap, or lame, or crummy, etc." I have lots of examples.
Now, I CAN'T say that about a well preserved Hurricane, as they seem to be the exception to that rule.

Material possessions and the thought of having them are mostly an illusion of happiness ... "things" don't ultimately make you happy, it's what you do with them and where they take you :-) ... the experiences they give you, in this modern world we are "programmed" that material wealth and the aquisition of more and more things will make us happy, invariably they don't ... and those things, when you finally get them are rarely what you built them up to be in your own head ... enjoy things for today and use them to help you do the stuff you need but I find happiness elsewhere :-)

That good lookin', really smart girl that you always wanted to get with.... that turns out to be a 300lb psychopath 15yrs down the road? Same thing.
Wait, I guess Joe did specifically say "buy". Doesn't make much of a difference now does it.
I still want a Ferrari....
And by the by Dylan, I wish I could think of you as something other than a schizophrenic, naked old homeless man.
Homeless?... nope.
Old????... Come on, I'm only 28! Get yer head out of yer ****!
Naked?... usually.
