Default what's your current mpg?

Hello gents, I've owned my "hurricane" for a week or two now. I've been pleasantly surprised by the gas mileage.

So I'm making this poll, what's your mpg (us). Also post your mods, and hwy/city breakdown of your driving.

I'll start, average 46.2 mpg 50/50 all stock.

I'm sure it's been discussed before. But I wanted to see a poll breakdown. And after having terrible mpg on my 954 I was excited to know.

I'm in the 31-35 range, but then I only do twisties, no commuting or long highway miles.

46.2mpg is very good, but makes me wonder if you're riding her hard enough

BTW I'm on standard gearing, 17 front 42 rear.

Lol. That's my back and fourth to work mpg. I'll chime in tomorrow after my weekend ride. I keep her about 70 mph to work with twisties. About 55 mph back home (dark).

31-35, it's been mid to upper 30s but I'm running on a limping stator now.

I'm sure it's inflated some due to Speedo error. But it has stock sprockets. Take miles on tank and divide by gallons used to fill tank.

Note, my figures are the product of me trying to get the best gas mileage possible and stretching the tank as far as possible for going back and fourth to work.

Edit: picked up tank today to notice previous owner swapped to stick coils. Dunno if that would help or not.

That would explain the great MPG

Mind you it does indicate that your engine is in great condition and the stick coils might help a little as well.

My 93 uses between 7.4 and 9.2 litres per 100km, not many straight roads in Tassie.

So, do we use British MPG or US mpg for the poll? I put mine in US which is the 25-30 bracket(hey worst so far!), If I had used British MPG it would have been in the 30-35 bracket....would look better for the greenies out there

After I get my new clutch installed. I'm going to start hypermilling my motorcycle 55 should be attainable but that will only on my back and forth to work. The weekend however will probably be wide open.
