Hey:

Great starting point, what are your plans keep stock or make it custom?

Your other 2 are way better looking bikes and have a large amount of unseen improvements that I am sure you'll discover taking either route.

You'll soon notice that, it handles a little better, they are a little lighter, the motor has a little different power band, and can be found very cheap (or even free). Those are about the only pros, other than they respond to upgrades better and you have more of them to do to make it as good or better than your other two.

Oh and many parts have are simular placement and dimensions but are slightly different. this may drive you nuts as they seem a little quirkey after having a newer model.
Also this is also some of the cons of owning a 1st gen as many things are different such as the frame, wheels, rotors, brakes, forks, head, exhaust mounting, radiator, and of couse the body work, to name the main differences.

If you keep it stock, the bug will get you to make it like the other 2 every time you ride it.
After you put wider wheels, newer forks, and probally newer body work on it, to make it look like it goes now, you'll have the best of all gens the custom gen. Good Luck on what ever you plan to do with it.

Dub

How can I answer the question?

I have no doubts in your ability but if she is going to cost you an ingot of gold I would pass on her.

Last line Chris ..... use the force Luke or zee google translator lol

This will be all stock .... a show bike in the end, found out this year
at a show up north that 91 and prior are "classic" and can be entered
in shows ............ that would fun

Hey Dub, no matter what she's staying stock ....even my other two bikes for all their
add-ons (my old Pal Classic loves so much ) ..... Ihave kept each and every
piece replaced ......."everything" because one day they will need to be brought
back completely to stock ! and that's a fact !........ so there you go ...other way
around for me I'm afraid.

You and me both Bill I love working on them as much as riding too ...... great
relaxation therapy for me anyways

Something to do over the winter months eh mark?

Surprised it's the 600 though, thought you'd go for the complete set of 1000's first

Be interested to hear a comparison though.
