One of the best movies ever (after Shawshank Redemption)

Sorry guys, no negotiation will be entered into; it's just a fact.

Do not try and convince that me that some BS movie like "Tron" or "The Matrix" is better because you're wrong. Simple as that.

Has anyone watched "The Birds" recently? I seem to recall that being a pretty cool movie in it's day.

Bloody hell TK, you picked 2 of my Desert Island 5 movies

Other definites are Monty Python's Holy Grail and Finding Nemo (makes me cry every time I watch it ) and the 5th varies - cheating I include a series Band of Brothers or the movie High Fidelity or Grosse Pointe Blank

Just love John Cusack

Monty Python-The Black Knight - YouTube

And just listen to the haunting score by Thomas Newman in Finding Nemo (sob)- he also did the score for Shawshank Redemption.

Some proper stompin`. These guys are said to be "Motörhead, ZZtop and Peer Günt all in one". They were warming up for Motörhead when they were in Finland last december.

Yes, that is the one, didn`t post it cause have before. Well, your video DOES show technical exellency I give you that, but the music just doesn`t get me. I mean I like Blues Brothers movies but I won`t listen to those songs either without watching one. I don`t like Dragonforce cause they`re just sick fast, I like it cause they have fun with their guitars and make them scream and squeal and make all strange sounds never imaginable coming from one. I think it`s insipring not playing a basic riff in any point of the songs but trick around instead. Sure they won`t be able to do it flawlessly in every gig but I still think it`s pretty frigging awesome someone is actually able to do that.

It`s extremely hard for me to explain the feeling I get from listening to them cause I constantly have to dance around certain words that just doesn`t have an english equalivent. Uplifting, awe-inspiring kick-a$$ music would propably hit close enough. I think they have plenty of feeling for the music, just a different kind of feel you seek.

A funny little detail about the band`s (ex) singer ZP "Zippy" Theart (still with them on that vid): His first name is actually Zp. It`s not short for anything.

EDIT2: That seems to be the video version (quite obviously). The dual solo starting at 3:20 lasts two minutes in the album version. Just watch those fingers dance around the fretboard. I can`t even tap that fast let alone hit the right notes.

Yeah, got me thinking now about "Desert Island Movies" (because we've already done Desert Island Females, and we've already decided that Nigella Lawson would probably be the most useful addition to that particular arsenal)

Let's maybe add "The Green Mile" , and to be fair I'd probably go for "Shrek" over "Finding Nemo".

Just a personal opinion, not pretending to be a movie critic here.
