Default What do these two photos have in common?

This is my month....leave tomorrow for here.

But alas not on a bike (again).... and,

This bike! Another trip when I return from the upper pictured destination.
So what is the bike? It's not a Honda. Pretty blue huh?

Cheers, SB

PS: All my Photobucket hosted images have been de-linked by Photobucket due to their douchebaggery in ransoming users to pay $400/year for the privilege. As soon as I find an alternative hosting site I will rehang the photos.

Hawk's closest. It is a Kawasaki. But what model? Year is 2001. And there's a good story behind it all. In fact it is a great story.

And involves this new life.

I'm like a dog with two tails....

Yes, it's my daughter's first child, my first Grandchild. It's a girl, but don't tell my daughter (who just happens to be a midwife), so knows far more than her Father. As a midwife, I make a great Entomologist........

Many congrats to you my friend. I think that you will find that grandparenting will suit you well. They are a joy to have around, then send home.

Thanks! I had no idea I could be this excited but I am. As for the bike. My daughter's partner rides and he has never ridden across the Nullarbor (Perth to Adelaide) and as they are moving back to Adelaide to have the baby in September....

So I offered to ride back with Ed when he had a bit of leave in July so- needs must - and another old banger was found and purchased for the ride home

As the papers say....more to come

Cheers, SB

Thanks Jarvid, but not quite old in my mind yet - even though I did giggle when the last round of pictures emerged - with a full grey beard I did look a little Hemingwayesque.

Oh yes!, that's me right there. Apart from the full head of hair, and apart from the literary brilliance.......

Ok, maybe not!
