I had a buddy up here from Tennessee, and he watched it. He kept talking about how cool it was, so I watched it once with him. Definitely a cool show.

True Blood is indeed shown on HBO. The Season 2 finale was last Sunday night. The show is based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris and is set in a fictional Louisiana small town. The setting is fictional but cities that me and the wife's families live in are mentioned often.
Funny, only one of the main actors is from Louisiana. The rest are from Canada, New Zealand, England, and Sweden. The show doesn't follow the books closely and is pretty entertaining. Season 1 is available on DVD, I don't think Season 2 is yet since it just ended.

The actor is Alexander Skarsgård, son of Stellan Skarsgård. Stellan is known from movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Mamma Mia, and, most recent, Angels & Demons. Solid actor.

Yer , we get that show here , I tried to watch an episode or two and could not get into it ... I think those sorts of shows , you have to watch a few to get the drift and get addicted ...LOL

BUT, like you said earlier....everything's funny after a few cans.

(BTW, the half bottle of whiskey is for putting up with sprock. Or at least that's my excuse.)
