Thanks Nate, Shadow. They become one with the family and mine chose me to be her favorite. Ya know normally I can't hit the barn side of a broad with this crap shoulder, but like I said she was good for some belly laughs.
Steve, we need to remember all the laughs and good times with our best mates, it makes all worth while. Walkin a mile in your shoes my friend.

I thank all of you guys for your kind words and thought's ...
I have some good new now though .!!..
Myself and Kerri are dog lovers and have been for our whole lives..
Living with the huge hole that Max has left was too much ! ...
We have gone out and got ourselves a new Rottie Cross pup !!!!
She is sweet and has all the same characteristics of me ol mate Max ...
We named her Jess and she is only 12 weeks old ...
I am here to tell you, that she has saved us from a drawn out and very painful mourning period for Max that neither of us were able to bare for very long ....
anyways , here she is ...
She will never replace Max in my heart and I still crack up every time I go down to his grave ... , but we are trying to move on ...
She is a great dog , she is so friendly !! and we are even letting her sleep on our bed , just like Max did as a pup ...
I am not going to rattle on too much now about her except to say , that I know Max would want us to give another dog as great a life as he has had for sooooo many years with us ....
Jess has been down to his grave to say hi several times and om sure Max would have approved ....
thanks again to all you guys .... your posts may seem small to you's , but I assure you they were and are a great help to me personally .....

Hey Pete , did you ever get around to finding another Shadow (not that we really can find another the same) to replace them I know ....but did you get another fury mate ??
Mark yu right , she has got all the same stuff going on as Max did , they are smart pooches these Rotties and tend to exhibit all the same characteristics ..
Yup , Nate ,she will be as big as Max was prolly , her Dad is a real big full blood Rottie and her mum is a Rottie cross , but still quite big ...
anyways ... it don't matter how big they get , its t he dog and its personallity that counts I think ....and she is sweet and great company for both myself and Kerri ...
All the walks around the property are killing Kerri though
....all this exercise is wearing her out , but not Jess!! ..lolol.. ....she has more gas in the tank than both of us put together ...lolol
We are off to get her some flea stuff and a few toys to chew on...she is trying to eat everything in bloody sight here ATM ...
Anything not bolted down, shoes , socks , pillows, all the PC things (cables!!) and office paper work ect ect ect .. is now up on shelves tied up in the air or up on cupboards to save them ...lol
anyways ...catchyu's a bit later guys ....

we are taking quite a few mate !!!
but Kane has never chewed anything of importance / value.
Talking about eating stuff - my old bugger ate 3 boat trailer wiring cables !!! 3 !!!
Used to come to me with a small piece in his mouth like a trophy.
Didn't matter, loved him always.

Me either Steve! Got 4 of the buggers here. My 9yr old Doberman is the only one I went and bought intentionally
. The rest are rescue jobs. If I lie on the ground to get under the ute they're on me and it's near impossible to keep all those tongues off your face
.We couldn't be without at least 3.
