It's all good, only minor injuries.

About 50km from my house, Seb went for a cruise though here twice when he was over our way.

Have to admit I immediately assumed that only a Harley would be solid enough to break a concrete power pole. I was clearly wrong.

Goodness me!

He is one lucky dude...

That looks between Makaroa 1 and Makaroa 2 where Mrs SB and I stopped for a coffee a couple of times.

Bike does look 'cruise style' though TK. A Triumph perhaps (and not just in survivability)

Cheers, SB

Got it one Seb, indeed a Trumpy. I do have to wonder about waiting for an hour before the Delta guys could confirm the power was off. I know sh1te all about elecktrickery but I would have thought that, if you weren't instantly fried, it"s probably all safe?

PS ; middle medic grey haired guy in the photo is a very good friend of mine.

Small town stuff aye?

Supplementary question for The Honorable Member from Adelaide Hills:

Did you get a photo of the "Motorcyclists Beware" sign at the start of the road to Makarora?

I've always found it a bit "Big Brother" but I guess it serves a useful function.

I have seen some many examples of sh1te driving by tourists this week (it's only Wednesday), I guess it's a timely reminder when you ride that road. It's the high season for tourists just at the moment, rental cars just suddenly stopped for no apparent reason.

Either GPS confusion or simply wanting to take a photo.

Call me cynical if you want.

Certainly noticed it TK.

No direct photo but I think it's on the video Mrs SB took from the back of your CBR1000F on the second run through to Haast.

I'll check a little later - still trying to find some time to finish that report. I did some real (paid) work today, then sanded and linseed oiled a table, put right a HD Sporty exhaust that is bolted to the Hyosung and have just cone in for dinner 9.15 PM. And I'm at the market at 5AM tomorrow morning.

Guess I'll sleep when I'm dead

Cheers, SB

Shock, horror, probe.

I seem to recall from High School physics that Work = Force x Distance.

Alert the media, probably almost as unusual as Kates baby bump.
