Default Stator voltage regulator

Hello I have both a 1988 cbr 600f1 and a 1000f1, the 1000f1 doesn't run. So I've been robbing parts off ot for its little brother, the 600. I'm trying to use the rectifier off the 1000 on the 600 but the 1000 is a 8 wire and the 600 is a 7 wire, help?

Looking at the wiring diagrams they appear to be totally incompatible, the 1000 has feeds to an exciter coil in the alternator (black, white) and an extra power feed (black) whereas the 600 has duplicated power and earth feeds (red & white, green).

Looks like they're brothers, but not twins!
