They are trying to rebuild the lock system on the river and people are still homeless.

There was an old house out at lock #10 that was unaffected by the storm. Last night a tornado went thru there and I have doubts that it is still there today.

We are under flash flood warnings until tomorrow after noon.

In this clip watch the silver car get a push sideways while coming off the highway around 1:00 into the clip. You can see the gust of wind in front of the woman's car taking the video. She happens to be my daughters friend's mother. We felt the wind here but the tornado was 5 miles from here.

Yeah, that's crazy TBT. Wow.

Last night was pretty bad here, too. Nothing quite like that, but I kept getting called into work because of power outages, lightning, surging, etc.
I was driving about 20mph and couldn't see jack chit. Then there was a huge tree blocking the road.... then the square in one town was covered in flowing water.... then someone wrecked.... then stuff really started flooding and I had to take a bunch of detours.
What a long friggin' night.

That's friggin' weird.

I was just sitting here half watching the news (fox 43 wpmt) and they showed that EXACT hurricane video.
The news people said it was an amateur storm chaser??? Wtf. I hate news people. lol.
No sound on the news, tho. Just the video.

good luck ...
We do get a few. They usually aren't to bad. The hilly Terrain keeps them low keyed. I know this guy in the photos. He rides a HD but I use to ride with his brother when we both had CB750F's.

Cranes Hollow got hit hard. The storm washed out the lock on the river. The railroad tracks were washed out also and then the tornado gut the whole place in a blender.

After the water went down.
Flooding damage to lock 10 and railroad tracks in Cranesville ny - YouTube

Take a look at Rotterdam Junction. It is directly across the river from me. It was not the amount of water but the rate that it rose. It rose so fast that I have heard, as people were running they could barely keep ahead of it. They were literately running for their lives. The raising water under cut the foundations of the houses and now some people can't go into their own homes to get stuff. Others that can go in have until next week to get out. There is going to be a big stink with government getting involved. The home owner have flood insurance coverage under their homeowners insurance but, the insurance companies are claiming that the damage was caused by a hurricane and the policies don't cover that. These people have been screwed by flooding, high winds, a tornado and now the insurance companies.
