Good handy little trucks ..really ..........was there any bed or wheel well rot ?
The wheel wells are fine, not a speck of rust. Frame is solid as hell.
Bed had rust, but I cut it all out and welded new steel in. That was a good bit of work. I shaped it, welded it all in (had to "borrow" a big bottle of gas from work for that one... shhh..), cleaned it, etch primed it, primed it, then painted.
The bottoms of the doors are rusting, though. Doors are about $100 each, so no worries.
I could have made it 100% with a few hundred bucks.
I took that truck through some crazy places, though, and hauled some pretty big chit with it, really. Good little truck, it just didn't seem to do it for me if you know what I mean... and someone did some wiring chit to it that I fixed. And no extended cab. I didn't like that.
Oh, and the cupholders were directly in front of the air vents. I hate that.

I believe that.
They're good trucks, too.... no doubt about that. I just didn't like this one, if you know what I mean.
A guy down the road just sold a 5sp, extended cab, 4x4, with no rust for $3k. It lasted 24hrs.
I should have bought it.
I like my jeeps, though. And my hondas (which I'll be ripping my Civic Si around shortly.... maybe a christmas turbo with some of the truck money...)
