Well I became closer friends with the pavement today. Started to rain a little and I accidentally tapped the front brake on a wet white line. Hit my side pretty hard. Ripped my jeans wide open. Luckily I had sweat pants underneath. Scuffed the jacket and my new helmet and visor. Bike slide maybe 30ish feet. It hurt to hear her slide. But I rode away, just my side, the bike, and my pride is hurt a little. If anyone has a 1993 right fairing let me know, I might need it.

I should have stayed home today...

Ah happens to us all mate, don't worry about it.

Thankfully it was just the fairing that got damaged, even at low speeds it can hurt our girls quite bad.

That's too bad mate.

Hope you're not hurt too bad. You'll probably discover some aches and pains over the next couple of days.

Post up some pictures of the bike so we can see what you need.

Reminds me of that old song
"funny familiar forgotten feeling "
Yup, we've all been there, some more recently than others.
Sorry your Lady took some damage but they are tough old girls !
Glad you're OK most importantly - metal/plastic can be replaced, skin grafts are a bit more serious

yea my jacket saved a lot of me, after further inspection this afternoon in the day light, it was a little more severe than i thought, but i have managed to sand out most of the scratched, now the main concern is lower fairing, it had a hole rubbed clean through to the metal, i think i may have fixed it with lots of bondo. We will see tomorrow. And the metal grid in the pic of my holy fairing is just what came with the kit to help build up and fill the hole just fyi

didnt like the chrome lettering anyways...

Could be worse. Matt black is an easy colour to spray, so that's a plus. The main concern is the engine cover.

Good progress so far, well done mate.

Attempting to find a engine cover is going to be a pain. REALLY don't want to spend 45 bucks on a cover and bracket.
