Let's see how many of you have had one on a bike..........
I had one today.
Here in Africa one often sees flattened plastic cold drink containers on the road - people throw them out of taxi's etc and they end up flat on the road.
I went into town this morning and saw that a traffic light was changing, so I braked, not that hard, well, guess who braked right on a flat plastic cold drink container under the front tyre..................how the front end stayed up I don't know, but it felt like I skidded about 300 metres, but was probably only about 4 or 5 feet.
Like a bloody skating rink. Scared me wet I swear.
Definite ring flutter![EEK!](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Anyone else had anything similar ?

Can't say I have had that happen to me.
The closest thing was when the front wheel locked up at the gas station when I hit a patch on wet clay. A lite touched to rear break and the front wheel slid off to the left and down she went, damn LBS.
I suppose if those flattened bottles are sitting in turns, things could get bad real quick.

Closest I ever came to something like that was hitting a lump of frozen horse shyte
up on the backroads here .... gave me auld ring flutters too
but grassy gravel
and a wide ditch on the far side of the road saved the day
oh and BTW
A Very Happy & Prosperous New Year to everyone.

There must be a lot of crap on the roads for you to not take notice of what you're on when you hit the anchors.
I was watching the traffic and the traffic lights, Dave. The bloody flat bottle was about 6" x 3" and yes. I didn't see the potential for disaster. It didn't skid right away, but I was braking when I hit it which is when the trouble started.... Live and learn, eh ?
At least we don't have dead roo's to worry about..................

Once (in the car fortunately!!) I was surprised by a Wedge Tailed Eagle taking off from some road kill as I drove past. The bloody thing just about blocked out the sun, it was so big! On the bike I probably would have lost it.
Still, it all stops you nodding off on the way to work I suppose

Happened to me once on the rear tire. leaving a bar, yes alchohol was involved, I was going to slide the rear, shoot off the curb and wheely to the intersection. Good plan but the rear locked up on a very large wad of very wet bar napkins, /serviets. Well slide I did sideways in slow motion for about six to eight feet right in to a parking meter which flattened my right exhaust pipe.
