Ride Photos - Australia - 7 months after bushfire
For your interest - see the roads in southern Australia - This link shows photos of yesterday's club ride - 490km -
Mine the only CBR1000F.
Speed limit here is 100 kmp but when you see the sensational roads you can understand why, for some, the police speeding fines are considered just a "cost of the sport".

- from start point in Melbourne
- through the local mountain twisties that were burnt out 7 months ago (many towns/villages were burnt out)
- through the green flats (now Spring is here)
- some village stops for recharge.
Mine the only CBR1000F.

Hi Peter - so sad and shattered at your mechanical delema. I often wonder what I would do when thinking "There but for the grace of ???? go I"
I haven't been away - I read the posts daily. the challange I face is that I haven't had any first hand knowledge of the problems members are facing. I tend only to post when I'm confident of my answer to peoples problems. Now your current problems/challenges I have no experience with and as I say "shudder" at the thought they would happen to me.
I'm still ridding hard and fast - the boys on the blackbirds and alike still can't get away from me much on the roads here. I give them hell in conversation "you let a 60 year old, on a 20 year old bike, with 25 year old technology suspension and brakes; maintained with the cheapest mineral oil, get the better of you?!!!!" It's great fun!
Keep happy and ride to enjoy all...........

Ah it's not that bad, Martin.
I do think that the mileage on my bike is not the true figure, probably at least 20000 miles higher. It would account for the problems being what they are.
I have learnt a HUGE amount from the guys here, and would not have even thought of trying to fix the old girl without all the encouragement and technical skill here.
I'm riding again ! Yay ! Saved about US$ 1000 in labour bills, but spent $800 in spares.....so...........

A vid takes 5-10 minutes tops and then you don't have to even go to the effort of making those still photo vid one's, that are great , but must be time onsuming to get to gether afterwards ..?
loved that one with the ("Just wanna ride my motoa cyckle") sound track ...just watched it again for about the fourth time ...!!!
Common yu bugger ...just shoot a few miovies next time ...
The trick is to only shoot may be 3-5 min maximum each shoot ... then its just hitting the upload button ....thats not hard nor time consuming ...LOL
and hey ...you dont ride every night anyway .... common ..no excuses ...
who said I wus pushie ..??
