Yeah Chammy just dicking around man ...... so what was the question again ?
Cams .......can't tell from the pic...... but they look similar
The bikes are very particular about how they breath and the wedge is as Hawk says used to line up prop up the filter
Seems you checked out all else , the restrictor plates the ribbed carb rubbers
leaves only jets & valve timing and synch imo and were the rubber diaphragms in good shape in the carbs ? not torn or cracked ?
and Steve what has stable personalities got to do with it ... are you thinking the Melbourne Cup or something
Time for a single malt.

Paco got him all worked up ........ he's getting re-certified
This is fast becoming an "avago" candidate ! .... potentially
a thread well travelled but only if the bartender says so !

That was probably the roofies. lol...
But to the OP... I'm not sure what you mean about the airbox.
The restricted ones that I've seen here have restrictor clips between the carbs and the intake manifold. They can be rubber or aluminum.
There are also some different valve settings, I believe... and maybe even the timing is set differently (remembering the manual). However, I'm not sure if the cams are actually different or not.
These have all been german models, too. I don't think the french restricted them.
